Venice 2010 Conference Resources
Preliminary Information (as of 29 April 2009)
The hub of conference, with the registration desk, book exhibit, and breakout rooms will be the Centro Culturale Don Orione Artigianelli - Centro Congressi, Fondamenta Zattere ai Gesuati, Dorsoduro 909/A (http://www.donorione-venezia.it/), which is a former ecclesiastical complex with multiple courtyards, a restaurant, and other facilities.
The Fondazione Giorgio Cini on Isola San Giorgio Maggiore (http://www.cini.it/index.php/it/foundation) will serve as the other major site of conference. In addition to many breakout sessions, we shall hold the plenaries and the closing reception there.
We have been fortunate enough to have the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti give us space for breakout sessions in its Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti (http://www.istitutoveneto.it/roomsfacilities/index.htm) and Palazzo Loredan
(http://www.istitutoveneto.it/ivinglese/attivita/convegniescuole/18_26_04_2009.htm).
The Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia (http://www.unive.it/nqcontent.cfm?a_id=60550) has kindly joined in the enterprise and will be providing us with a group of breakout rooms.
Finally, if we need more space, Wake Forest University’s Casa Artom (http://www.wfu.edu/provost/houses/venice.html) has generously offered to help us out.
